At about 8:00 am on Tuesday Hinton Fire, Plymouth County Sheriff's Office and Iowa State Patrol responded to K22 and C80 in Plymouth County just North of Sioux City for reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Two Hinton High school students, brother, and sister were taken to Sioux City Hospitals with life-threatening injuries where they both died as a result of their injuries. The roads remained closed for a couple of hours while the crash was investigated. Hinton School District has canceled all activities for the evening. School was not canceled.
