Man arrested on felony drug charges after firing shots on Jackson Street Sunday Night

Sioux City Police responded to shots fired call at 9:36 pm on the 1500 block of Jackson. Information received from witnesses led police to the 1600 block of Jackson where they arrested 26-year-old Jason Angle Mota.


During the execution of a search warrant at his residence police located several firearms, more than a pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Jason Angle Mota was charged with discharging a firearm in city limits, carrying a concealed dangerous weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Intent to deliver. Mota was booked into the Woodbury County Jail and has since posted bond.
