At 9:47 pm the South Sioux City Police Department received reports of shots fired in the area of W 12th and 1st Ave.

As the officers arrived on scene it was determined an individual was shot. After securing the area, paramedics transported one male to a Sioux City hospital with a gunshot would. The investigation is ongoing.
