Rogers was previously arrested in March of 2021 on Sexual Abuse after an investigation by Nebraska State Patrol that began in early March alleges that in December of 2020 the victim went to Rogers home to acquire a vape pen and was sexually assaulted by Nathan Rogers. Rogers told investigators he did meet with her to give her a vape pen but that she had come onto him and they had sexual relations on two occasions.

Both contacts with the children began when Rogers was an assistant coach at South Sioux City School District.
