Sioux City Police Respond to Fatal Shooting Incident on 14th and Ingleside Ave

Sioux City Police Department received a call on June 26th, 2023, at approximately 6:40 PM, alerting them of shots fired in the vicinity of 14th and Ingleside Ave. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Immediate medical attention was administered by Sioux City Police Officers until Sioux City Fire and Rescue arrived to take over. The victim was transported to Mercy One hospital in critical condition.


Following the incident, officers conducted a search of the area, uncovering evidence of the shooting. As the investigation progressed, authorities learned that a confrontation involving multiple individuals had occurred prior to the shooting.

The victim, identified as Marlon White-Eyes, a 36-year-old resident of Sioux City, succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital.

Sioux City Police Department believes this incident to be an isolated event and is actively pursuing the suspect responsible for the shooting. The search for the perpetrator is currently underway.
