Sioux City, November 29, 2023 – A robbery at about 6:30 am at Sarg’s Mini Mart on Glenn Ave. Wednesday morning, according to the Sioux City Police Department.

Authorities detailed that a male suspect entered the store and confronted the clerk with a note demanding money from the cash register. The suspect hastily grabbed two cartons of cigarettes and fled the premises as other customers entered the store, leaving without any cash.

The store clerk provided a description of the suspect, describing him as a short Hispanic male, donning a black coat with a red hood and a red face mask. Following the incident, the suspect was last seen heading northwest on foot from Sarg’s Mini Mart.

The SCPD is actively investigating the case and urges anyone with information to come forward.
