In a release about 8:30 Monday Morning Sioux City Police confirmed that an officer-involved shooting took place at the parking ramp about 4:00 am. The parking ramp will remain closed as the investigation into the incident has just begun. No other information is being released at this time.

Previous: In the early hours of Monday, January 8th, just before 4 AM, an incident unfolded in Sioux City. A white Ford truck reportedly collided with a Sioux City police cruiser in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino parking garage. The truck then attempted to flee the scene. Shortly after the collision, reports emerged of gunshots. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were requested at the scene.
