The Northbound of I-29 was temporarily shut down in the area of the  Railroad bridge at about 12:30 AM due to an accident caused by a possible drunk driver driving the wrong way on the Interstate.   At about 12:28 AM there was a report of a white pickup traveling Southbound on I-29 near mile marker 1.   Shortly after that, dispatch said the truck was still going the wrong way passing Bevs on the River, and they were getting multiple calls on it.  Dispatch also reported the truck hit the center median as it passed Floyd.   An officer caught up with it in the area of the Railroad bridge, and shortly afterward the officer reported the truck hit a car, and the accident was blocking the interstate.

ANTHONY LOYD BOWMAN, arrested for OWI 3rd, No Vehicle Insurance and Driving the wrong way.

About 15 minutes later another officer stated they had another drunk driver in the area that passed out in his vehicle while waiting in line to get through the area of the accident scene.
